Hodges: Saving players from themselves

0.83723587 22 March 2017 22:46:12 WN.com - Asia News

If you give any player in the NRL that has suffered a head knock even the slightest chance to convince a trainer that they are able to keep playing they will lie and say whatever they need to say in order to stay on the field. Which is why in my opinion the NRL needs to even go a step further than the current protocols around concussion and make it compulsory for any player who suffers a head knock during a game to leave the field and be assessed by the medical staff. Players are...

0.7636491 23 February 2017 18:09:24 WN.com - Europe News

Paul Clement has challenged his Swansea City players to make life easy for themselves this spring as he prepares to return to Chelsea. Bottom of the Premier League when Clement was appointed in early January, the Swans have hauled themselves up to 15th thanks to a run of four wins in their last six top-flight games. But Clement insists the only time his team will be able to relax is if they are safely in mid-table come the closing weeks of the campaign. 'I have said to the players that yes we have put ourselves in a good position, but how hard are we willing to work to make sure we continue to improve?' the Swans head coach said. 'How much do we want to avoid suffering at the end of the...
